These tactical bolt knobs by KRG for the Remington 700 only are the first and only products of their kind.  Not only do they look great, they offer the beneficial upgrade of giving you a better grip when operating the bolt under any conditions.  The best thing about them is how easy they are to install by just using one screw and a 5/32″ allen wrench!  You no longer have to permanently modify your rifle!

Available in black, tan or OD and comes in either texture of grooved style.

Product Description

The tactical knobs consist of two reinforced polymer knob halves with supporting parts.  Use the supplied spacers to tailor fit the knob to the 700 factory bolt handle and the stainless steel screw will clamp the knob halves together using the stainless steel reinforcing pins (instructions are provided with each knob).  Installation takes about 5 mins.

They are made with reinforced polymer material and incorporated into a thick walled, high strength design to insure that your tactical bolt knob will be the last part of your rifle to fail.  Previously if you wanted that improved bolt handling you would have to buy a knob and send your bolt off to a gunsmith who would cut and thread your bolt handle and install your new knob.  Now you can add a durable enhanced knob all by yourself.

Well, first off, I would like to say that McMillan has shipped way faster than I ever anticipated. I ordered my part on the 27th of February, I received my part on March 1st, only 2 days turnover.

Secondly I really like the part I ordered. I will say that mine does not clamp down completely flush on my Remington 700 Long Range 300 win mag “stock” bolt. I tried several different combinations of o-rings to mount this.I tried, a single thin o-ring, a single thick o-ring, one of each, both of each. 2 thick o-rings will not allow me to even get the pins started to close. 2 thin o-rings fit too loose and the knob wobbles but does close all the way at the end with the pins. I am currently running one of each, small o-ring on top and thick on bottom. I am going to try some o-rings from one of my kits to see if I can get this thing to clamp around the pins. My guess is probably user error, but I will adjust my review accordingly if such is the case.

This product makes a huge difference over the stock bolt knob, and adds about a half inch length to the bolt arm. I can’t wait to go shooting next week to see how well it works when cycling actually casings. So far, since installation, I no longer rake my thumb against my scope when cycling the bolt.

This is the best $28.00 I have ever spent. I put this on a Remington 700 I use for factory competition. My rifle has a Vortex scope and the original bolt would hit my thumb at times pulling it back. I saw a video on this knob and ordered it and what a difference. My bolt did not take any O rings. I guess my rifle is a newer model so the bolt is a little thicker. The Knob fit perfect and gives more leverage along with clearance. I would highly recommend this to anyone with Remington 700. In fact, these should come out of the factory on the rifle.

Great value for the money, can’t beat it. Well made and fits perfect, easy to install—what more can you ask for?. Too bad these are not made for all brands! If you have a Remington 700……get one and you will be highly satisfied!
