What colors are McMillan stocks available in, and what does molded-in finish mean?

We offer a wide range of both paint and molded-in finish options. Molded-in means the color and pattern are built directly into the exterior of the stock, not applied on top of it. That construction makes molded-in finishes more durable and more resistant to wear, since there’s no paint layer to chip or scratch.

Because the color is part of the shell itself, you may see mold lines, minor imperfections, sanding marks, or visible cloth, especially on lighter colors. That’s not a defect, it’s the nature of the process. Molded-in finishes show off carbon fiber shells particularly well and look sharp in marble patterns.

If you want a solid color or a less reflective finish, paint is the better option. We don’t offer solid molded colors, the imperfections that come with a solid molded finish don’t meet our standard.
