Do McMillan stocks work with chassis-style bottom metal?
McMillan stocks are traditional stocks, not chassis systems, but many support aftermarket bottom metal and detachable magazine systems through custom inletting.
Machined-in pillars are aluminum sleeves set directly into the stock during the layup process, positioned exactly where the action screws pass through. This pillar system delivers the same benefits as a mini chassis, without the added weight, creating a solid, unyielding connection point between the action and the stock. With this system in place, bedding your action isn’t required.
