What stock doesn’t require bedding?
A pillar-bedded stock, like McMillan’s, is built with the pillars machined in from the start. Unlike a standard drop-in stock that still needs bedding for a precise fit, a machined pillar system locks the action in place as part of the manufacturing process, like a mini chassis. Although, some shooters still choose to bed their actions for even greater precision.
